Rant starting in 3...2...1...

Everywhere I go I hear people spouting off their opinions like its the gospel truth, and then when someone responds with opinions of their own, rather than join in a respectful debate, these people want to call each other stupid, or tell them to shut up. I even seen a few posts where people have asked others to politely die. seriously.

This is why I now refuse to debate on big issues like politics or religion.

If you feel the need to express your opinions in a public forum,expect a response, period. not everyone will agree with you,it's a fact of life that your just going to have to deal with, and just because you know someone who agrees with you doesn't mean that your opinion is any greater than the next person's.

people have different views, opinions, likes and dislikes. that is why we have different kinds of music, movies, art, clothing, chewing gum... the list goes on and on. just because you like pepsi better than coke doesn't mean that coke drinkers are beneath you.

it is possible to disagree with someone without disrespecting them. there are a lot of people out there who need to grow some manners.
